Parmesan stuffed dates
Serves 24 pieces
Ingredients
24 large dates, pitted
2 oz. piece Parmigiano-Reggiano chesse
4 oz. sliced prosciutto
24 pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Toast pecans on a baking sheet 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
- Turn the oven up to 450 degrees.
- Cut prosciutto into 24 strips.
- Cut hard cheese into 24 small slivers.
- Cut a slit into each date.
- Stuff 1 pecan half and 1 sliver of cheese into each date.
- Wrap each stuffed date with a strip of prosciutto.
- Place the dates on a baking sheet in preheated oven.
- Bake 6 to 8 minutes, until cheese is soft and prosciutto is crisp.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
