7-layer dip
Serves 10 people
Ingredients
2 11.5 oz. bags tortilla chips, whole
2 cans refried or black beans
1 package taco seasoning
1 lb. lean cooked lean ground beef, seasoned with taco mix or chili powder, cumin, and salt, to taste
2 24 oz. packages shredded cheese (regular or reduced-fat cheddar, Monterey Jack, or combination)
1-1 1/2 cups guacamole
1 cup seeded diced tomato
1 cup sour cream
1 4oz. can Jalapeno peppers
2 medium green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Mix beans and taco seasoning mix, if desired.
- Put beans at the bottom of a 9-inch glass pie plate or deep-sided glass bowl.
- Layer all ingredients, except chips, over the bean mixture; cover.
- Refrigerate several hours or until chilled.
- Serve with crisp tortilla chips.
