FOOD FOR PARTIES

Spicy cheese and bean dip

Serves 24 people

Ingredients

1/2 cup light sour cream

1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened

1 15-oz. can black beans, rinsed, well-drained

1 4-oz. can chopped green chiles, well-drained

1/4 cup thick and chunky hot salsa

1/2 8-oz. package Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded

Corn chips or tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine sour cream and cream cheese in small bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth.
  4. Spread cheese mixture evenly into ungreased 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Layer with black beans, green chiles and salsa. Sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Serve with corn chips.
  7. *Substitute Cheddar, Habanero Jack or Chipotle Jack Cheese
