Here are some themes to help you personalize a graduation party--and thrill the graduate:

School colors

For the grad who took part in lots of school activities, the school colors can serve as the basis for the party color scheme. Choose balloons, flowers, and other decorations in those colors. 

Similarly, if your grad is looking forward to a new school, decorate the party using those colors. It's easy to find partyware in lots of solid colors.

The grad's interests

Choose a theme that reflects the graduate's interests or special talents. For example, if the graduate is a swimmer, select beach or pool party supplies.

If the graduate is active in environmental activities,  keep eco-friendliness in mind for the party, and use as many natural and re-usable elements as possible.
