Marinated Bocconcini (Mini mozzarella balls)

Makes about 16

½ lb. mini mozzarella balls
¼ cup olive oil
1 tsp. hot pepper flakes
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh sage
Dash freshly ground pepper

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Toss until cheese is well coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours. (Note: Can be made ahead, covered, and refrigerated up to 2 days; best prepared at least 24 hours in advance.)
  4. Bring to room temperature before serving.
