The Ultimate Celebration at Sea
Marking a Momentous Event
There is no shortage of unforgettable ways to commemorate an anniversary, a Big-0 birthday, or retirement. There's bubbly and Beluga at the intimate Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar, an exquisite dinner at the Todd English restaurant (for an additional fee) or an 18-carat body scrub and bath—laced with real gold—at the Canyon Ranch spa. Moreover, real 18-carat baubles are available at the ship's jewelry store, H. Stern.
Those celebrating milestones are virtually guaranteed royal treatment. Information about special celebrations is automatically sent to the crew before each voyage. Announcements are made on the in-house morning show program for that day. And of course, any birthday is acknowledged at dinner with a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday."

Waiters have also been known to take requests. Recently, a talented baritone crooned "Can't Help Falling in Love with You' at one couple's 25th anniversary celebration.
Nightfall is when the full glamour of the QM2 becomes elegant--for every guest. The high-wattage jewels, sequins, and sparkles disperse light reflected from the crystal chandeliers.
Cunard's literature and some ship walls display photos on some of the name-brand stars and royalty who traveled on the original Queen Mary. Among them: Ingrid Bergman, David Niven and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. There's little doubt that those celebrating aboard the QM2 today feel like glamorous stars, as well.
