Go Red for Women

Good health is certainly something to celebrate, and "Go Red for Women" is the wonderful national program launched by the American Heart Association to help prevent heart disease, the number one killer of women in America.

The whole package is amazing, and full of great ideas to help women stay healthy. It includes heart-healthy recipes, a community-type "get moving" exercise program, health check-up and heart attack warning signs information, plus support to help all of us take action to protect our hearts. For example, you can sign up for e-mailed encouragement reminders to exercise more.

Wear red on February 1, 2008

National Wear Red Day: Millions of Americans will be wearing red on February 1, 2008, to show their support for women and the fight against heart disease.

In addition to the company's multi-year national sponsorship of this worthwhile program, Macy's February 2008 promotional efforts will include the following: Wear Red Day, Feb. 1, at Macy's stores—Macy's will offer a discount/savings pass to anyone wearing red. In addition, sales associates will solicit donations from customers in February, and anyone making a $2 donation will receive a savings pass and a red dress pin.
